Private acquisition advisory

I am a private buyer of rare watches and fine jewelry for a small number of clients. I find the piece, verify it, negotiate the price and manage the delivery.

Intake is limited and by application. Mandates are held for clients who acquire $250,000 or more a year. Evaluations of a single piece begin at $25,000.

What clients ask of me

What you get when I work for you.

Access

The best pieces never reach a shop window. They sit in private collections or move between dealers and at auction. I know where to look and who to call.

Certainty

Before you commit, I check originality, condition, history and papers. You are never left wondering whether a piece is right.

A fair price

I compare every piece with recent auction and private sales, then negotiate for you, so you do not overpay.

Privacy, without effort

One person, one conversation. Your name, budget and collection stay with me, and I take care of every call, shipment and document.

About Faiz

The person you will be dealing with.

I am Faiz. I work in timepieces, fine jewelry, luxury gifting and bespoke commissions, and I source the most sought-after pieces for a small number of private clients.

I take part in auctions and exhibitions, so I see what pieces actually sell for and who is offering what. That experience is what I put to work for you.

I take on a limited number of clients so that each one has my own attention. You deal with me directly, from the first conversation to the delivery of the piece.

What I handle

Four disciplines, handled by one person.

Lot I

Timepieces

Allocation-list pieces, discontinued references, vintage and independent makers. I buy at auction, from private collections and through dealers, and I decline more than I accept.

Checked: reference and serial range, dial and bezel originality, service history, box and papers, auction comparables.

Lot II

Fine jewelry

Signed pieces, important stones and period jewelry. Every stone is read against its report and every setting against its maker.

Checked: stone origin, laboratory reports, maker’s marks, later alterations, insurance valuation.

Lot III

Luxury gifting

Anniversaries, milestones, clients and family. I keep a calendar of what matters to you, propose pieces ahead of time, and arrange delivery and presentation without a trace of the process.

Handled: occasion calendar, engraving, presentation, discreet delivery.

Lot IV

Bespoke creations

One-off commissions with ateliers and master jewelers. I write the brief, select the stones, review the sketches and hold the timeline through to the final fitting.

Handled: brief and sketches, stone selection, atelier selection, fittings.

How a mandate begins

You apply, we talk, and then I take it from there.

  1. Application

A short private intake below. It tells me whether I can be useful before either of us spends time.

  2. Conversation

A direct call about your collection, your taste, what you have been unable to find and what you want managed.

  3. Mandate

A written agreement covering scope, fees and discretion. I work for you and never for a seller.

  4. Sourcing and custody

I source, authenticate, negotiate, insure and ship, and I keep records of everything you own. I also advise when to hold and when to sell.

Fit

Better to say it now than to waste your time.

A mandate suits you if

You acquire $250,000 or more a year in watches, jewelry and gifts, and you would rather have one adviser than five dealers who each want something.

You value discretion and expect it in writing, and you will answer direct questions about what you actually want.

It will not suit you if

You want retail discounts, or the lowest price on a listed item. You are sending the same request to several advisers at once.

You want to browse inventory, which I do not hold, or you want a quick flip without provenance.

Questions

What people ask before they apply.

Who is this for?

Clients who acquire $250,000 or more a year in watches, jewelry and gifts, and people with a single piece or collection worth $25,000 or more who want it bought, sold or evaluated. If you are below that, you can join Private Notes and apply again later.

How are you paid?

Fees are agreed in writing before any work starts, and I explain them in our first conversation. There are no unexpected charges, and I tell you if I have any interest in a piece.

How do you know a piece is genuine?

I check reference and serial numbers, the originality of parts, condition, service history and papers, and I compare the piece with records and recent sales. For high-value pieces I can arrange independent verification before you commit.

Who sees my details?

I do. I do not share your name, budget or collection with sellers, dealers or other clients without your permission.

Do you hold stock?

No. I source to order for you and I do not sell from a showcase, so I have no reason to push any particular piece.

How long does a search take?

It depends on the piece. Some are found in days and others take months. I tell you plainly at the start if something is unlikely.

Can you sell or evaluate what I already own?

Yes. An evaluation is my professional opinion of what a piece is worth and the best route to sell it. It is not a formal insurance appraisal.

What happens after I apply?

I read every application myself and reply personally within two business days. If it is a fit, we arrange a private conversation. If it is not, I tell you plainly.
